I think the old laser is very "nexuizy", and just fits in the game. Your concept is good, but too much reminds me to Unreal's Automag:

Wow, those are nice. Thats a great revision of the current crylink.

For seem reason it also makes me think of the nex. In my mind, it might suit your conception better.

Maybe its the shape or how it lacks the "tubes".

If you go by the concepts it seems as it's a big gun. Where you wear the weapon (thus the pillows), so for a nex it would not suit it. Nex is more of a light gun and easy to maneuver in my mind. This concept is more like a heavy machine gun, as for crylink, it could be interesting. Though I'd wait for more concepts

Yes, my design is for a rather heavy weapon, and you carry it on your shoulder (see on picture). As we know, the crylink is stronger now, so imho it could be seen as a heavy energy gun.



Yesterday Qantourisc came up with a nice idea, to change the look of the barrel, into some kind of an =O= shape, so it could indicate the secondary fire of the crylink.





And imho the hagar's model is very lame too, here's my idea (even wors then the crylink, ins't it? )

i was thinking about a new electro model:

one of the two side barrels would come off and the other one would go underneath the main. and i think it needs some shaft, similar to the nex.

i rather like the laser model but there is a definite need for new weapons. Modeling the concept laser should be pretty simple.
I love the crylink model and I think that all it needs is some texture rework. (IMHO)

I never finished my nexgun model based on the old nexgun because i just don't have any ideas for it. if someone can give me a good concept i'll surely finish it off.

I am liking this concept the more I look at it. I think that it needs some detail but i like how it resembles a heavy machine gun.

The only thing is that it looks like a electrogun. You know, a gun that shoots electricity.

Ihsan, I like the old nex too, but I was thinking of a cross between the current model and the old model. I like the "lance" look of the current one but I don't like the way it resembles a... umm... a penis.

You have a dirty mind don't you? I never thought it resembled that I'm gonna look for it the next time I play.

But yeah, I like the old nex too, probably more than the current one so maybe a blend of the old and the new would spice it up.
