At the Moment im workin on some new map ...
its some kind of cyberspace map ... the look is a bit like tron ...

Here's three shots of it :

This here is one of 4 portals ( one in the north porting to south, one in the south porting to north, west to east, east to west ) a bit like in packman ...

and here's some shot from the map itself ... im still working on the itemplacement for the standartweaponset ... the skybox has been improved since this shot ... :

I wanted to do some completly different from the maps thats in the game now ...
The Architekture is very simple but i think the look is great ...

Very nice clean look !
I liked Tron a lot (also the game was fun).
What tools does your brother use to create the skyboxes in your maps ?
Any tutorials ?

On a similar note of your collaborators... for the guy who does your music, do you think he'd want to contribute that music under the GPL? From your other maps I've heard it and thought it really fit the atmosphere of the game, and the music in Nex is something I always thought needed some expanding upon.

my brother's doin his skyboxes with different gfx and 3d Progs ... the base of his skybox works are just 3d scenes he's doin by himself ... and then shot it with some cam he scriptet by his own ... its just 6 shots for each direction in a 90° degree ... there arent any tutorials ... anythin he uses is the experience of years of grafical work ... such as my skills ...

Greeting Lifeforms!

The Music in the maps (docs....) I produced with particular software.

The Music isn´t under GPL!
Its not easy to create Music for Nexiuz maps because there must have a special
synth-sound and speed to feel the atmosphere of each map! ...but......its only fun for me to create it.. :D

Here a small selection of Software I have used to create new tracks and Sounds

Fruity Loops - to create Drumloops
Absynth - Synths & Effects
Acid - Cut
Cubase - Mastering

I dont know ... i just give him the infos what my maps should look like and tell him what i want ... than he start to create the boxes ... he's making testshots of his work ... shows this to me ... and than i say him whats good ... and whats not good ... with this info's he's finishing the boxes ... i told him to register with this forum that he can explain himself ... he didn want till now ... maybe hes just to busy, cause hes registered on serval other forums ... actually i dont know why ...

It isnt important for me how he do this works ... there's only the point that he's just doing it ... and he's doin well ...

I could do my skyboxes by myself ... but its easyer when i can concentrate on my mapping works while he's doin the boxes ...
These works can be done with milkshape ... 3ds max ... and what ever u can imagine ... u can also use gfx progs like picture publisher or photoshop ... the only matter is to get the 6 images together and thats only a thing of the feeling to this work ... the easyest way is to create some large image and than cut it into the 6 sides of the box ... ... u can use varius functions of Picture Publisher to make images fit together ... there's some funktion that blends one side of an image with 50 % transparence over the other side ... so u have some image that fits together at all sides ... this can be used as the base of the structure u want to make the box with ...

This is only the way i would use ... there are too much options to do grafical works to explain it all ...

Everything i'm using are things i just tryd out over the years ... MS Paint is used too ... every part of some artwork needs other progs ... and other functions ... this should be the same in things my brother's doin cause he learned much from me ... and i learned much of him ...

by the way ... everyone here can use my textures and the skyboxes of my brother ... but if u use it ... place a note in ur map that it was made by me or my brother ... like the banner's in my maps ...
