Important - A Problem with compiling a Domination Map

Postby Doc-Pyton » Wed Nov 14, 2007 9:26 am

As i said in the Tower of Doom Thread im workin on the Domination Variant of the Map
docs_hell_incarnate.
I placed the needet Dom Entities and used the examples in the docs/maps and the map soylent as a reference.

My Problem now is that this Error Message appears when i start to compile that map :

So my Question now is : WTF what is that ?

I compiled that map as a CTF and a Deathmatch, and there wasn't any error.
So i think its somethin with the Domination Thing.
But i dont know how to get rid of that.
Please I need help with that.
I didn found any answers to that Error searchin google.

Ah damnit, found the reason for the Error.
I wrote this here to the message key of the Middle Domination Point :

"message" - "^3 has captured the ( critical ) Central Tower"

I didn know that i should not use the "()" inside that message key.
Dont know why but the Editor made the thing inside the "()" to a new key called "critical"
So The error appeared cause the entity "dom_controlpoint" dont have any key's like that.

i just wanted that ( critical ) in the message, cause the central Tower should be some critical location that gives more points when its controlled by one team so that the fights will concentrate on the middle of the Map ...

However, i found that error when i was making screenshots of the entitie details for this Thread.
When i took the screenshot of the central control point i saw this wrong entitie Flag.
So im sorry for this stoopid Question.

Wow... Radiant should not allow you to type stuff in entities that breaks compilation.. and it's hard to troubleshoot.
Bleh.
