custom jump pad sound

Postby Rad Ished » Wed Dec 05, 2007 9:40 pm

Is it possible to give the jump pad/ trigger_push a custom sound and supress the default one??? Quake radiant manual is vague on this ,or more likely i can't find the right entry.

hmm, in some of 70mm13 maps he has custom sounds for ctf capture and flag returning this sort of thing, but these are different from a trigger_push?, durn, i made the sounds already. I can't see how 70mm13 did it because he dosen't include the source in his pk3s :(

Okay , I give up with the custom jump pad sound , it was the q3 manual gave me false hope, i keep forgetting that just because it's in the q3 manual it's not necessarily in Nexuiz.
Is it also true that Nexuiz does not support random sounds, sounds that play at random intervals?
Also is it possible to alter the radius of a speaker? to make the sound heard over a larger area or is the solution just to add more speakers.

Aaand one more for luck, why do my looped sounds click in Nexuiz but not in Audacity, I cross faded them to themselves and then when i repeat this in Audacity no clicks , but in Nexuiz clickety click click, do I have to save the .ogg files in a specific way? Divverent mentioned something about .ogg flags for different effects, is this what I need?
