I installed GtkRadiant 1.5 on linux per Summer Willow's post, however I get no shaders. It can't find them. I corrected the path to nexuiz to match my linux distro, but still nothing. Where do the .shader files live? they seem to be missing. Also, in my nexuiz data, I have nothing but pk3 files, do I have to unzip them?

nexuiz shader files are in /data/scripts
pk3 files are just renamed zip files (you can open and extract them with any regular app that can handle zips).
It might be a good idea to extract the stock nexuiz shaders along with shaderlist.txt from the data pk3.
What's the console output of radiant 1.5 (it has it's own built in console too, you should see error messages in there if it doesn't find the shaders).

I don't suppose you might know this because it's a mac query but if you make an archive on a mac then rename it .pk3 this doesn't work, I've already got a solution for this but I just interested. These pk3 can be opened by other os, hmm maybe it's some of the 'extra' parts that osx puts in 'thing thing store' or summat , hmm answered my own question ay.
