I use 'cl_nogibs 1' to remove the gibs and ''cl_particles_blood 0' to remove the the blood splatters.

Changes to cl_nogibs happen after a map change.

Changed to cl_particles_blood happen immediately.

I had a keybind for a short period of time - bind q "toggle cl_particles_blood" which turned off or on the blood splatters.

Oh I must check that. I don't like all this blood too. Thanx for the tip!

all models use the same gibs and blood effects.

you can use cl_particle_size to increase or decrease the amount of blood, but it will also affect other effects. :/
