Hi,
I used to deal with UnrealEd a little (some time ago) and I was able to create some simple geometry, which was very fun. I learned how to add static meshes, too. But my results were, of course, not very professional.
Now, I was wondering whether I could make maps for Nexuiz. gtkradiant seems to be the right tool. When I learned UnrealEd, I had wonderful free video tutorials from 3dBuzz. Of course, such luxury is not available for gtkradiant, but who cares. Now I was wondering which way you think is the best for me? Would it be best to continue using UnrealEd in order to learn the basics, or should I try gtkradiant? I use Linux (preferably), but I am not a very experienced user yet. If I tried gtk/nexuiz, I wonder if it works similar to Unreal, i.e. building level --> compiling level --> being able to play it in Nexuiz? Also, could I open up the Maps I know from the game and play around with them to learn?
