Btw, I do no longer accept any input for the portals. They are now completely done. I'm not going to make any more changes. You guys had your chance to come with them when I was creating these. Too late now :)

Fine. Fu! :P :D

Is it in SVN? Else where can I find the latest pk3?

@Alien:
Yeah I saw that in the picture, I just have never been able to see anything wrong with the portals or any pointing devices in game. So I don't really know what you mean. That red line in the picture could have been anything from a rendering glitch to graphical bug.

@Brutail:
Yeah, I believe it is in the SVN now. Morfar comitted the portals just don't know if he has comitted the updated texture with the logo on it. You'd have to ask him. :)

No, the red line should be an arrow to the WRONG SHADOW coming from your portal (I have no clue if is it related to your portal). I admit it can't be clearly seen in LCD screens so I might post better quality when I get home.

Well, I cannot do anything about the shadow, that's the engines duty to handle and the map lighting setup. There's nothing I can do with the model that affects the shadows.

I'm not sure that it isn't z-buffering you mentioned previously.

I'm not sure z-fighting can affect shadows, it's just the surface which gets 'scratchy' so to speak. But I'm no expert in this area, however, the model no longer has the z-fighting problem (it actually isn't z-fighting just something that resembles it). But someone with more experience and knowledge about this sort of thing would have to step up and give their input.

However, could you provide another picture of the problem that you had? I still don't really understand what the problem is, I see nothing wrong with the shadows in that picture.

In 3 hours time I'll probably be back at home and if I haven't deleted the tga I'll post it. Maybe it some sort of shadow bug cause i'm using r_shadow thing which div tried to fix (it worked correctly for me all the time and only your portals produced this thing).

After an svn update, I have no portal models at all. (only the dynamic lights and particles)

No errors, weird.

Try deleting the portals and re-update the svn. I deleted mine, updated and I can see them well.
