I've been working more on my map, a bsp error cropped up and I fixed that. I also added a new room/area and such.

What do you think? What need's improvement. Any suggestions on new areas etc, anything you would add? Likes/Dislikes. What kind of details should be added (so it can be included in nexuiz).

I saw something called botcookies (a quake3 thing) in the editor, do the NeXuIz bots follow these?

No, urrebots use another type of navigation files, but don't bother with these - the next version of Nexuiz will come out soon with a new type of bot and navigation. Then you have an in-game editor for waypoints. Waypoints are linked together automatically, so all you do is walking around and dropping waypoints all the time so that you can walk from each waypoint to some other visible ones easily.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Blue amuse revision 30

I have added new rooms, stairs, and details. The detail level isn't up to what I want it yet (suggestions, what details should I put in to get it to nexuiz quality? where?), the ending grates to the sewer pipes need detail etc, the pipe underneath the map (the long one) should maybe atleast go to some room with goop in it I guess, maybe with some electro ammo?. I have the 2 powerups at opposite sides of the map, both with areas you can camp at keeping your crosshair on the powerup. I have the rocket launcher and the grenade launcher at opposite sides of the map aswell. I have the mega health in an open location. The nexuiz is a perilous jump away (there are 2 jumps you can reliably make, though you have to do them right). I hope the lighting smooths out with a better compile (I used light faster).

Could someone compile the .map into blueamuse30a.bsp , my compiler is... messed up and thus ignores shaders, thus the blue goop has no shader and I think the rotating thing is hitting into it (as a solid) and causing that constant SV_PushMove error.

Everything is GPLd

(Btw, is there any new GPLd nexuiz music tracks in the works, we need more I think, too much recycling on the maps allready).

Anyone have thoughts and suggestions? I want to get this up in quality so it can be included with nexuiz.

Well this message spaming is very bad :) But as i have no clue about mapping i'll let others give you tips about it..
The map is a bit too dark for my taste, even with my high gamma settings. In some parts this might be fun but not at such a large scale. The map needs lots more weapons. Its a big map that might be great fun for DOM, CTF and TDM but with more weapons.
Right now one jumppad is broken. Coming from the nexgun going the the round section with two jumppads and the crylink at the top. The bottom jumppad pushes you into death :).

Hmm, are you playing revision 30? I don't have a problem with the jumppad on the bottom, I did at previous revisions but fixed it. Any thoughts on where to put new weapons and details?

Yes i'm using revision 30. It seems that sometimes one gets pushed against the ceiling above and falls down into the void. And those parts were this small beam gets more narrow at the ends its possible to get killed by walking to close to the edge.. (tested mostly with nexuiz svn and a few short runs in 1.5) Also those ends should be longer so that one can more easily drop down (for example the end below the 100health)

I've never hit my head when I've played. Btw does the "void" look blue to you (it's blue goop).

I need more criticism, and not sarcastic CRAP from people like divergent. Sarcasm does not travel over text well unless you are a rather good writer (which divergent is not, his sarcasm isn't clear, he gives no tips etc, he just does not want people to map for nexuiz I suppose, divergent: I am doing this for the nex commuinity, if YOU continue to be sarcastic with me here or on other threads I will move to some other game and I will not continue work on these maps, maps don't start out awsome-for-consumption, they are refined, so screw off with your scarcasm ok? OK?).

I need stuff like "here you should have another room/area", "there is not enough cover here" (not "there is enough cover here (snicker snicker)" that I get from divergent, is there a way to /ignore on PHPBB as I don't want to read sarcam that isn't even tagged because I can't make heads or tails weather something is truthful or not often), "this area needs more detail, maybe add a xyz", "more weapons are needed, maybe add some here and here".

The place is supposed to be a holding plant for the energy goop in the energy cells.
Please I need more criticism, but not sarcastic, scathing is ok, anything but sarcastic because sometimes the sarcasm isn't clear and I might be like "ok I won't fix that because divergent likes it" etc. I need clear criticism, I would like to make this map into a good map.

More criticism please! (note: I test the map on gamma 1.00)

Dude, chill out. I'm not attacking you, but this is the most respectable community you will ever find around so I really don't know what your issues are with div. A bit of sarcasm hasn't killed anyone.

As far as getting your map reviewed, make a few screenshots so people have an idea what to expect before the check it out.

We all apprechiate your effort, so don't take this as anything personal. Just simple advise from someone who's been here a long time.

Oh, you got offended by my sarcastic post? Well, shit happens, but life goes on. Well, I'll solve that tiny question for you: ALL of the post was sarcastic. However, I had a reason to do that. If it weren't _you_, I would have given a serious criticism. It wasn't MEANT to offend you, but sorry - I could not resist after reading your website.

Well, as you might understand, others might get offended by YOUR posts under your previous nicknames. Or by the content on your website. Discriminating against almost half the world population, and they aren't even close together on the world map, but evenly spread throughout all the countries... good luck, really good luck in your fight... about that topic, one last comment:

No, personally I am not directly offended by your posts. However, I do know why Nexuiz isn't in Debian yet. And I hope you know the true reason behind that too.
