If it's only textures I believe Morphed himself will more than suffice to create them. He is a very good 2D artist. And not so bad 3D either. However if it is a 'non-commercial' application, such as the free educational version of 3D Studio Max (if such exist) then none of that would matter anyway as anything created there would go under that license.

It is about the animations which are from a motion capture studio which released them for non-commercial uses only.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Could it be re-rigged to use the animations from Nex?

The animation was actually the one complaint I was gonna make... it looks kind of off tbh

There was never a problem - the website 'CGTextures' did license [special permission is counted as a license, as per terms of General Public License Version 2] those textures under General Public License Version 2, via private email to TRaK.

Leileilol has demonstrated severe prejudice against any opposition, which is unacceptable for a FOSS project.

YES! FINALLY A NEW MODEL!!1

Good work Morphed!

On the topic of animations, I guess this is all the more reason why Nexuiz needs animators as re-rigging to use the current animations is only a pseudo-solution until the different playermodels have their own animations.

Using Nexuiz's animations wouldn't solve the issue either, as they're lifted off from Half-Life.

Proof, or is this hearsay?

But anyway, we need all new models ANYWAY. However, this is never going to happen.

Apparently all modelers want to use non-free stuff, see Morphed.

However, IF your claims are true, please have the guts and tell Valve, so they sue us. Then MAYBE our PR people *FINALLY* start looking for modelers :(

But given how bad our existing player animations are - some even shift the whole model by some units, making half of the player be out of his bounding box - I really doubt they are ripped from HL, or ANY commercial game. You know, they have professionals making the animations, they sure won't make SUCH bad animations as we currently have. So by what you have written, you have severely insulted Valve.

Me. Or Leilei, or even perhaps Morphed :D
Oh, and an application. How many ais do you have in your fridge? I have 4.

Heh, just kidding. What do you mean by that? You would require an application which can create animations and export them, such as Blender. Or what did you mean?

Nope.
How does an animation made?
Does one create a skeleton, rig it, so it can be used to attach inside a model?
