Console commands for viewing clipping surfaces?

Postby Clueless Newbie » Tue Oct 21, 2008 8:41 am

This is related to the ".ase models with holes" thread; is there a console command that lets the player view clipping surfaces instead of textures? That would make it easier to find the holes in the .ases.

try
Code: Select all
r_showcollisionbrushes x

with x being a value between 0 (off) and 1.

But why do I only get 2 fps (regardless of graphics settings) with this on?

Secondly, having viewed my map in this setting:

I think because it draws ALL the collision brushes, which have to be processed, no matter if you can see them or not.
(Once, when I did some testing of the layout of a map with only caulk brushes, I could see ALL the collision brushes)
