compiled nexuiz.exe, but it has a wierd problem, plz help...

i compiled nexuiz using mingw and msys, as in Xeno's tutorial.

I moved the new nexuiz.exe to the nexuiz folder and played it from there instead of the original exe, and it played, but whole game was kinda stuttery. I also noticed that the compiled exe was 1.79mb and the original was 1.74mb so maybe the one i compiled collected some sort of trash?

and i compiled the darkplace engine using vc++ and the compiled exe was about twice as big as the original nexuiz exe and it had the same wierd stuttery problem.

how do i fix this?

No idea. Does the SDL one have the same problem?
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Use release not the debug configuration. And you need various dlls for the dp to work properly. Get them from the lordhavoc's dp windows build.

i compiled the sdl version of the windows build, and it worked ok.
but the normal version still doesn't seem to work.
haha, what is sdl anyway? i'm a newbie at this sort of stuf. :D
