func rain

no in ruiner i have rain! (when i play online i have cl_particles 0)

but in my map i have not rain with cl_particles 1

i have this in gtkradiant (now i have copied the func_rain settings by ruiner) but nothing changed

Hmmm alright, then it's both :D. All I know is on whizard I was able to just do a block ~20qu high at the top of the map and the bottom had rain, YAY RAIN!

I seem to remember that func_rain must be under (and possibly touching) a skybox to work. The brush might also need to be textured with common/trigger, but my memory is a little fuzzy here.

last night i have done many experiments.

with same setting with a larger brush the rain is visible;
with same brush and count >100.000 the rain is visible;

my conclusion:
1- not important position of the brush
2- rain is under brush and also into it
3- is important the combination brush size and count value (little brush needs high count value)
4- of course is important set r_drawparticles_drawdistance properly

now i can see the sun :)
