Here's what I've been working on today, A highrise ala
Matrix "central network" style.

It has 20 stories, they're mostly empty so far, but all the
windows are destroyable, I even made md3s for the broken glass

Now, since the space isn't much used yet, tell me what things you want in the various stories of the tower.

I was thinking of: data center on one floor, some offices on others, interrigation rooms on another, on the higher floors some upscale apartments/condos. Give more ideas :)

One problem though: the glass falls from the map origin rather
than the brush midpoint. I guess it expects an origin brush for
each damn window! When it doesn't find one it, in it's infinite
wisdom, just dumps from the map origin. (Though, thanks to whoever
made the function for making it atleast :) : it's not really been used yet so
it's not fleshed out yet :P)

Could this be changed to dump from the midpoint of destroyed brush instead:
most func_destructables will be simple items that don't need
the complexity of setting an origin: the midpoint is fine.

You need the caethaver2 and castle bunkers texturepacks (or just dl the map unfinished towers and you have what you need mostly)

dammnit mike !! evrytime i have an idea you go and build it . i was actually working on a high rise building with unfinished construction .AND it was going to have breakable walls/ ceiling / floors . ive experimented with the func_breakable , and realized this feature isnt being used as well . anyway . map looks neat . i might borrow some of your models

Why? It's not done. It has alot more to go (and would go faster if peeps would suggest things to fill up the tower with).

Peeps should not even bother with maps that cannot be played. What's the point really? Making it look nice? Make a movie of maps instead than making them unplayable.

I make what I want to make. You have NO standing to command that I not make whatever I wish to. I don't give a damn if my maps can or can't run on your computer. They can run on my nvidia box aswell as my friend's nvidia laptops. I do NOT make these maps for you or for anyone else on the net, I make them for MYSELF (my own enjoyment) and sometimes my friends. I do not give a damn about weather or not you enjoy them or not (and no, I won't stop releasing them either).

Now, if you occasionaly find a map of mine that you enjoy, that's good too.

Also note: this is a bsp only compile (no vis) and the screenshots were taken on my intel laptop that can barely run nexuiz at all.

My apologies, AI: there ARE huge performance issues when the glass is broken on the nvidia box!

I don't get why. Another prob is that the glass kinda stays around and spins! That might be the performance killer.

A third thing is that my glass is multi sided, I'll make them all planes instead and reexport right now.

Oh, but man is it fun playing on the map killing clones :D
