Also, I think that we should try to play TF2 or Fortress forever to get the feel.

@Clueless Newbie, this is your Idea, do You want to Set this up.
I know many will want to "Mod" Nexuiz.
I have fun Playing on (Nexican Server) all the time.

All we need is a Small team then we can Go to "Moddata Base" and Ask for Help or other Game Sites if need be, but Nexuiz Forums First.

@CrazyClone, good, then I guess we'll leave the icons for you. We might need the Red and Blue capture the Flag, and Capture base Icons. :)

I PM'ed "ClueLess Newbie"

I got your PM. Yes, I really want this to happen. I'd like to call it "Nexuiz Team Fortress (NTF)," btw.

I can do maps, concept art (I think), textures, scenery models, and bitch about what I like and do not like. I can not do any coding or player models, and that is where the real work lies, I think. Until we find people who can do that, NTF won't go anywhere.

I did this today at my Hangout (StarBucks).

Its a Concept only, but if theres anyone with a passion for Team Fortress, then lets mod Nexuiz.

The concept looks good, but the legs are a bit alien-y. I think something like this might be better:

Maybe with hooks at the feet for difficult surfaces.

We Need a Leader, Co-Leader (I can Co-Lead), a PR or someone letting people know of progress and possible interview with team for websites and other Open Source Gaming sites.

I might be willing to lead this project. i was one of the main contributors / leaders of Marathon: Rubicon. You can find a trailer for it here (youtube). However, there is another project (not game-related) I'm also working on...

Also Someone making the "Game Design Document"
Its gonna have the Powers and weakness of the game, number of maps number of characters, the weapons, how each weapon affects the player, how each health, ammo, power up, affects the player, easy ways to advance in each map, combination of player classes it takes to have success, more much more.

Art People, many (I'll Be one)

Me too, I guess.. ;)

Mappers = mappers that know mapping for "Team Fortress" where to place items and make each map a challenge.

We don't need many maps for this. Just one or two unique maps to show off the mod. It's important (to me, anyway) that NTF can be played with all the standard CTF and Ons maps that are already out there.

Programmers
3D People = making the props and Characters

These are vital. No programmers and character modelers, no NTF. I can make scenery props with Radiant, but I doubt I can make a character model. As for the weapons, I suggest we stick to the models already present in Nexuiz when possible.

We all need to be on the same page, and work together and balance the Workload. So that we dont start blaming people for the lack of progress. And we need to HAVE FUN DOING IT!

Absolutely.

I like the concept. The only thing I can spot on their is that the legs seem much bigger than the rest of the unit, maybe shrink them down a bit and you got a pretty flawless concept.

Yeah, the legs remind me of the dragoons in Tremulous. How about legs like those of the arachnotrons or spider mastermind in classic DOOM?

If this project gets started (which won't happen until coders and modelers join up), we should decide on what visual style to use, for instance utilitarian army, alien weirdness, sports arena, My Little Pony (as if), or something else — and stick to that style. The problem I have with the current Nex player models is the lack of coherence. Every model looks as if it comes from a different universe.
