I just realized how much easier it would be to edit a shortcut instead of a batch file, so here is the new method for opening Nexuiz and playing on a server with one click(or 2, depending on your settings). Again, this tutorial is for Windows users.
Right click in the window belonging to the folder where you want to make the shortcut to the Nexuiz server.
Hover your mouse over "New", and click on Shortcut when the menu appears. In the window that appears, you will be asked for the place where you want the shortcut to lead. You can then either type the path to nexuiz.exe or browse to it.
In my case, I make sure that the text box reads "C:\Game Program Files\Nexuiz\nexuiz.exe".
Once you've done that, click Next and give the shortcut a name. In this example, this shortcut will connect the user to [o8]Nexican CTF, so I will name it Nexican CTF.
Now click Finish, and right click on your newly created shortcut, and then left click Properties.
In the window that appears, make sure you are viewing the Shortcut tab.
In the box marked target, change "/<path>/<to>/<Nexuiz>/nexuiz.exe"
to
"/<path>/<to>/<Nexuiz>/nexuiz.exe" +connect <serveraddress>:<port>
Make sure that the "Start in" box gives the path to your nexuiz folder.
Run the shortcut, and you will be playing in the server specified by the ip and port.
This is much simplier than the batch file method, dispite how long it's explanation is.
Enjoy.
