AAA - texturer needed!

Postby toneddu2000 » Thu Aug 06, 2009 2:40 pm

Guys, I don't know that to do! I tried to texture the Percival model

but I've had no success. Every attempt was not so good and I have a question: there's anybody outside who want to texture it? This could be a very step up for nexuiz because we could use wheeled vehicles!
So few questions about it:
1.If I release the model should I put license file inside? Due to its unfinished nature, the model maybe should'nt be licensed, and once ultimated, modeler (me) and texturer (anyone else) should create a common license file.
2.Where should I put .zip file? There's anyone can suggest me a good sharing website?
So, texturers, come out and show your muscles!! :D

first export a uvmap, then use photoshop to make layers over the uvmap.

1: Please, if you want, license it with gpl and put gpl license text thingy inside the zip :)
Im sure there is always someone who can use the model even without textures for something cool. Sharing is caring man. :D
2: Use Box.net

@Morphed: Your statement is not funny or useful. I'm not a coder so I can't just "place my fingers on the keyboard and open text editor or IDE" because I don't know anything of Quake C so it would be useless! When I said:
This could be a very step up for nexuiz because we could use wheeled vehicles!
I refered to this thread http://www.alientrap.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4773&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60 where TZork had created his first spiderbot code and we are debating how this code could evolve in something else.

@paperclips The license file is included - its GPL - :D and thanks for the link. I've used it!

@ Mizu Kitsune Thanks a lot! This is the file! Do with it whatever you want!:D
It's untextured but the highest lod is already unwrapped!

What is a "AAA" texturer? Do you need your car towed for repairs or something? :)
