Hi there! :D

So I've got the SVN of NetRadiant and Nexuiz and am enjoying playing around with it. I'm trying to make a waterfall. I made it using a patch mesh. I used the water shader for it that comes with Nexuiz but it just looks like some shiny flat water on an angle. I understand this game uses GLSL for this sort of thing. Is it possible to make my own waterfall effect using GLSL or something else which actually looks like a waterfall with the water coming down? :)

Also, the MD5 format from Doom 3 supports skeletal animation as well as vertex skinning. From what I know this allows more realistic characters ingame. Is this supported in Nexuiz?

Thanks,
Chris.

As for waterfall: you can use a Q3 shader with "tcmod scroll". Google for that to get help about it. Or, look at the shaders used on reslimed, it has flowing slime in some tubes.

As for MD5: no, MD5 is not supported, however, DPM has these features too and there is a MD5 to DPM converter available. Also, skeletal animation is no requirement, you CAN use MD3 files and let your exporter convert from skeletal animation to vertex animation.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
