Downer Remake

As some of you might know im going to remake downer. I rebuild it from a scratch which makes it easier for me to change things.

strengths of the map are:
- vertical gameplay mixed with horizontal gameplay
- good for splash damage weapons

weaknesses are:
- too much armor (3 mega armors are too much)
- too many teleporter

Current state:

I like the overall look of the map, quite a change from the original. However i'm not sure what to make of picture 3/4 in the post directly above mine. In the original the stairs would lead to the rocketlauncher but in case you got attacked (now thru the walls) it was somewhat easy to jump down from the stairs which is not possible in this version due to the wall. So now it totally possible to get caught in enemy fire without being able to react or fight. This could lead to the passage not being used but only laserjumps to get the rocketlauncher.
It would be bad to have a non-used part in a good map. I'm not sure right now if its possible to make a specific wall block explosions but maybe you can change the way/wall a bit to make it "safe" to go there?

wow that's a good idea actually. Looks good so far. Although from screenshots, without item placement, it's really hard to give any comments.

The most important thing, when put items on an exposed position is the access. Of course now you cant react to it but the stairs are like ramps and wide so you can avoid damage by the right movement. Now the stair arent the only option to reach this position.

This jumppad makes it also possible and its almost as safe as the stairs but always you need to take some risks to earn the reward, which was a bit to extrem in the original version

well, thats what i want. i dont want to force some kind of item placement., if you would say there could belong a rocketlauncher or a MH then do it.

I like that you can rampjump and crouch to the armour. I liked the watery teleports better than the starry variety.

Bots get stuck here and there, like on top of the chute. Through the ceiling opening on top of the chute you can see a part of the roof "blinking" as you move.

I would like ramps on the outside of the longer stairs below and a (small) edge, so that you have easy access to the electro platform with the jump pad.

I slam my head against the ceiling going from electro to lava. I would like the ceiling on the left side of the pillar to be higher, the same height as on the right side.

I think the walls at the right stairs from electro to lava could use the greener, square tile texture below, all the way up to the rusty platform. And the narrow vertical metal stripe should go. (Same on the other side of the stairs)

The large room: The concrete horizontal line texture doesnt look as fun as the other wall textures. Maybe another texture and some irregularities, like edges that form a stair.

I'm not sure about this one: The metal stripe where the 100 armour is could be on the same level as the stripe on the outer wall, so that the inner and outer rings match. The openings to the tele and to the armour could be of the same height.

And yes, Watchmen is the best graphic novel ever. Black Hole is quite nice too.
