Hey fello nexians!
I've spent the last 8 hours trying to make a specific sky box for my gasoline powered edit viewtopic.php?f=19&t=5896. I'm trying to make a detailed skybox orbiting over the earth similar to this...

I've been trying to use Terragen http://www.planetside.co.uk/content/view/16/28/ which is great for environments, but isn't to good for space environments.
Instead I am trying to approach this using a panoramic photo maker like http://hugin.sourceforge.net/
Although this is harder than I thought. Its easy enough to just paste an earth .jpg onto the down square on the 2D skybox. Although this doesn't get the perspective nearly as close as id like to the planets surface. So I need to some how stretch the earth .jpg over the the down and left right back and front squares.
How can I achieve this? Does anyone have experience with space skyboxs? Any help would be much appreciated.
