i started working with blender since monday(found a tutorial i which understood)
so here is it not the best but my first thing in blender ever...
maybe you can rig it ant texture it( a simple white glossy texture with some cyan(glow) eyecandy and a soft look or whatever
or black glossy with red(glow) eyecandy or both
i already added the bones but no clue how to "apply" the mirror mod
so have fun with it ...later i watch textur(uv-map) and riggin tutorials and the zym-convert thing... im at the begin
ah..before i forgot it: i have no name for the robot and the elbow i mean the forearm ndthe uppr arm are 2peces (because looks better when the arm moves)

wow, if this is your first model in blender, is very promising! Make a lot of pratice, Blender won't delude you!
Anyway, the best approach IMHO to make details on a model is to create a very detailed normal/bump/diffuse texture to apply to it.
For the mirror mod AFAIK you have to extrude them with a shortcut combination during bone creation and bones will appear duplicated.
Keep modeling,mate!
