I decided to redo Victory V and make it have far more eye candy and be significantly less bland overall. Here we go:

So here's the original mockup (colors imperfect)

Image

That I coded into XHTML/CSS (90% done, didn't do the colors yet)

Giant screenshot,

I decided to give the SQL a shot myself, starting with the front page, which now has 100% dynamic CTF listings. I hope to get a little bit of this done every day if I have the energy after work and hopefully put something live ASAP because this project has dragged on too long.

Nice :).
It's interesting that you make mockups and then implement them. I just "go". Often the code or dev process brings me to some place I didn't know I was going in the beginning :P. I'm not often able to keep focused enough to do exactly what I originally set out to do.

This looks really slick. I'll be looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Thanks for the kind words, I put in some more work today, I hope to keep this up through-out the week. Got the DM parsing now:

The code gets a little confusing with multidimensional arrays -- but maybe I'm just a pussy.

This is one of my favorite lines in the latest revision:
Code: Select all
if (db::count($player_kill_0_sql)>0) { $player_totals[$dm_match['match_id']][$killer['player_id']]=$player_totals[$dm_match['match_id']][$killer['player_id']]+1; }

It calculates the player score totals per match... later it sorts that array to bring the high score to the top of the array and matches the player id with the name.

Map stats are easy so I figured I'd get the basics on that out of the way:

Here's a bigger list with a lot more data imported to the database http://pics.nexuizninjaz.com/viewer.php ... clnqbb.png
