So... I don't see an FPS reading on that, was turning it off intentional? ;)

to divVerent: Wow, psychodelic fraggin! That's for real? I can't wait to melt my brain in there!

to Strahlemann: thanks, I'm still debating the different floors/colors deal, and the textures seen in the 2nd and 3rd shots, I'm not sure if I'm happy with them either... I'll probably change them up to be similar to shots 1, 4, and 5. It's a ways off to being released.
I'll check into my screenshot settings too!

to FrutieX, the 'ModernWarfare' is lookin' good!

to Cortez... leaking pipes!

A old q3 map that lied on my HDD for years. Now i'm finishing it. There's way too much detail in some places, so fps suck. But hey.... it's 2007 ;)
It's called "Revenga!" ( yep. SoaD \m/ ). It's a small 1on1 map with a simple layout, but i think it 's a lot of fun to play (at least with the q3bots so far)
I'm planning to do a Nexuiz port after i'm satisfied with the q3 version.

Looks very good, but a detail-reduced, playable version for Nexuiz would rock even more :)

Wow, Strahlemann just wow, super dergraded tech look, I like, steampunk yeah.
I particularily like the looming towers. A very moody map, will nex version be so moody or is this a quake type atmosphere? Any tips on creating textures like these, I can't manage to be so subtle somehow.
Do you use .tga or .jpg. I've been using only 512*512 .tga but they seem to bump up the file size something awful. Hmmm, I'm going to go look at strength.

i'll try to get the same mood into nexuiz.
The textures are a mix from a lot of texture sets. Most of them are from MrClean's Texture pack 4: http://mrclean.planetquake.gamespy.com/2dart.shtml
Some good tutorials on creating textures using Photoshop are from evillair (who also made most of the Nexuiz stock textures) http://hfx.planetquake.gamespy.com/tutorials.html
But for creating _gloss and _normal maps you may want to take a look on tools like http://www.mapzoneeditor.com/
I'm using jpg.
For strength i used the tga's of the eX texture set which is already a part of Nexuiz 2.3. So the file size is not so big. But i doubt that using tga's instead of jpg's of the same size really makes the difference for the player.

What ever happened to the Mario inspired map? I was looking forward to playing that.
