Darkplaces Engine question (Half Life maps)

Hi,

Has anyone had success in bump mapping a half life map using Darkplaces? I've extracted textures and maps from the half life wad and have the map loading/rendering perfectly, but making _bump and _norm textures and putting them in the same directory seem to have no effect. anyone know if this just isn't implemented in the engine or if I'm doing something wrong?

Have you enabled realtime lights? Bumpmaps are only visible in darkplaces, if there is either an realtime light source (since you probably haven't added realtime world lights, you need a weapon like the mortar/hagar/rocket launcher to see bumpmaps) or if the map was compiled with deluxemaps (which is a q3bsp feature, i don't think there hlbsp supports deluxemapping).

Deluxemapping should work for Half Life files.

r_glsl_deluxemapping 2 <-- force deluxemaps, using the standard normal from the surface
