Hi everybody, XavioR here (programmer for t:n). I know that T:N has been in the dark recently, but the project that wazat started is far from dead. I know no new news has been released to the public for quite some time now, so I'd like to fill everybody in with what's been done;
Right now there are 6 classes: Scout, Spy, Soldier, Medic, Pyro, Engineer
Team:Nexuiz uses Quake 1 TF's Entities, but has support for many Quake 3 Fortress maps and entities. Q3F_forts and several other maps work relatively perfectly.
There are 4 teams, 2 of which are being used at the moment. We are currently using Nexuiz 1.3's team select menu.
T:N has new models and some new sounds. We still need more
We have a couple maps on the way by Revenant and tZork but we NEED MORE MAPPERS. If you know how to map for quake3 and know TF/q3f entities, it should be pretty easy (even if you have to learn the new entities, it's relatively simple).

Progress is slow, but steady. We need to fill a number of positions at the moment however. If you can do any of these and have the time, please feel free to sign up:
- Modeling
current team: Waxalica, Morphed
need: experienced modeler who can produce quality moderate-poly models (dunno if that's an oxymoron but wtvr). We need someone to make models for the classes (male and female eventually) and animations. Items such as backpacks and alternate flags too.
- Mapping
current team: Revenant, tZork
need: experienced mapper with knowledge of Quake 3 mapping, TF/q3f entity knowledge is good to have too but not necessary. We need remakes of a couple old TF maps, but new maps are certainly welcome. Can do keepaway, ctf, dom, capture the points maps etc.
- Coding
current team: Wazat, Xavior
need: Someone experienced in QC, and experience with TF mods even better. We need someone to work on class balance, model animation coding, weapons coding etc.
- Testing
need: People who can stick around #alientrap in irc.anynet.org around 6pm to 10pm (not FROM 6 to 10 but just to drop by on occasion). When the team has something to test, we need it tested thoroughly to check for bugs/glitches etc. What you do with the mod on your own time is your business ofcourse, but do take note that it's pre-alpha right now.
