Ok, Is there any way in gtk radiant 1.5 to subdivide curves without losing the general shape of the curve? I am finding that my terrain map has a lot of visible seams between patches.

sadly i think you can't

at least you can't be sure that it won't break the shape (i'd say in MOST case, the shape gets broken)

OK, thanks for the reply. Basically that told me that there isn't any way to combat this issue short of increasing subdivision values. Hmm, I'll have to see if there is a better way to do this...
