My (very rough) concept:

Any thoughts on feasability / how to go about actually scripting/coding it?

I'm imagining a gamemode where they would spawn where the Domination points normally are, and would attack the opposing team/players. If destroyed, they would turn to the destroyers team. They would have infinite ammo, and be quite accurate with any wepon apart from the Nex.

turrets code was 1 of reasons why TN died, its damn hard to code it fighting whit bugs

Which was the difficult part? the code to spawn them or the code they use?

Just steal both the robot bots legs for the second bit :)

I like the third turret :twisted:

And someone plases explain what Team:Nexuiz was, I only saw nexuiz it at around the time the 2.0 release reached Mofunzone.com

Shouldn't be that hard, just add it as an bot-controlled play entity with a specific weapon and that can't move.

most hard was to connect all parts of turrets together, then make bullets go from barrel of turrets and not from some wacky point becouse there is bug in dp with md3 tags,
Team Nexuiz was class based team play mod for nexuiz, something like team fortress

T:N was nevr finished, nd probably won't ever... Tho there's a project that adopted the materials of it, it's renamed, moved on ioq3 engine. The name of the project is:

Project: Alaris.

there practicaly nothing left of t:N in alaris, however iirc we did start to add turrets before moging on, so there shoud be some turret code and models in the t:n bransh on the nexuiz SVN repos.
