Well, until Kojak comes up with proof for his, I'll keep my lead with this demo here. 2.51 seconds
The current record holder for CaptureCity is kojn. Yes, I understand that the "Proof" isn't publically available, but only because he didn't have time to make an .avi of that single run. I have the demo and have seen the run.
Nice, but you have used god mode to do that. It's harder to pick up armor and health first in order to realise the perfect movement.
This has been a toss up since I first began time runs. Technically speaking, as long as the run can be accomplished "WITHOUT" Godmode turned on, then using godmode to prevent having to wait 30 seconds for both mega's to respawn is fine. However, one should always do a couple dry runs before attempting a record. All map runs will be tested to see if the run allows someone without GodMode to make that time. This I figured was just common sense.
An example of a run that would be "illegal" or not to be officially labeled as the current record holder is a run on CaptureCity that kojn is trying. Basically he'll be able to beat the times in 2.0 seconds or less. Now I'm fairly certain that the way he does it would always frag the person trying, but this has not been tested...yet
So, is Mirio's 7.x time for Facing invalid? Cuz I have a 8.2s with just the RL (no hook or quad). I'm going to try it again while recording.
Yes, the use of the quad (strength) powerup should not be used. These runs are supposed to be skill based, pretty much anyone who picks up the quad can launch themselves to oblivion and beyond! With that said, Mirio's time is good, but I can't accept it as an official run. So feel free to upload your run. I'm going to try to have a sticky of map time runs where we can keep track of the current record holders. Until then, I'm just going to put the Current Record Holders in my main post.
