No idea what you mean, but you can take anything out of xaw that you want... not that you'd want to 
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again
You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Yes, sure, all images have an alpha channel.
How to make use of that in the image editing app you use I have no idea, but I bet it supports it.

, I mean div what you said would probably mean a lot to someone who knows what they're doing... (But I don't, maybe someone could dumb it down for me (I'm still practicing image editing etc)).

yes, pack it... and I have no idea how to answer your alpha channel request, as I don't know the app you are using.
In GIMP, you do Layer / Transparency / Add alpha channel, and then if you delete selections, they become transparent, which is indicated by a grey checkerboard.

I'm using photoshop... I can make it transparent except it doesn't allow .tga's to be transparent.
I'll try gimp. Ok. I've tested it, it seems to have worked. I'm not sure if it's transparent or not but I'll do this to the images that need it then put it in a .pk3.
