WORD

I lost them the other day, when I needed them... And now I'll find them back and will have no use for it.... Pffff

Also, wtf with the blur? Can DP render blur? Or your graphics driver?

Most image manipulation programs have a Gaussian Blur filter, and Dave said post-processed screenshots are eligible to be posted. I have the original screenshots if they're needed for any reason.

I'll post the .xcf files for my screenshots if anyone would like to rebrand them.

oh, and here's a visual example of JPG's quality limits:
high-quality JPG 745 KB
max-quality JPG 1,6 MB
full-quality PNG 2,4 MB

Wrong :P

You didn't turn off chroma subsampling. When I do that:

http://mensa.ath.cx/~polzer/temp/irony4m2opera.jpg - 827kB 85% JPEG after turning off chroma subsampling.
http://mensa.ath.cx/~polzer/temp/irony4m2opera100.jpg - 1747kB 100% JPEG after turning off chroma subsampling (but difference checking still found minor differences)

BTW, I just committed an engine patch to turn off chroma subsampling. Now JPEG quality loss is MUCH smaller.

witchcraft!

thanks for the engine patch and for educating me. :)

and thanks Dave, for the awesome wallpapers! :)

I'd like to see some screenshots showing the HUD too; all the shots so far are third-person

Ok, that's enough non-action shots from me, I'll start looking through demos next.

Dave

WOW, your castle looks great (although I think it would look better without the weapon/shields), it is an excellent example of Nexuiz rendering.

I think your second shot is a bit dull, nice detail, but the composition is far to symetrical, however Felicia to the resue http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3266/229 ... 4b_b_d.jpg :o

A similar scene done with an ATI (AMD) 9550, running on Kubuntu 7.10 and a recent build of Nexuiz.
