VLC & WMP refuse to show anything but the sound, and I saw the WMP announcing an error while loading the codec.

VLC & WMP refuse to show anything but the sound, and I saw the WMP announcing an error while loading the codec.

mpeg4, but with ffmpegs standard fourcc "FMP4" (which hardly any player seems to know). Either get mplayer or a fourcc changer and change it to "DX50".

@Ronan: when encoding mpeg4 with mencoder, add "-ffourcc DX50" to the commandline... (XVID or DIVX should also work, but afaik DX50 is the most widely accepted)

hum sorry, my vlc 0.8.3c (ubuntu) played the video without any sound or video problem, so I wasn't very careful.
