Curves = no lightning? (NetRadiant)

Postby Lo » Tue Apr 07, 2009 7:37 pm

EDIT: Just to clarify (although this thread is already outdated). I just downloaded the latest build of Netradiant (here: http://www.icculus.org/netradiant/files/) and it WORKS FINE for me now.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
initial problem:

If I'm using curves in a map the lightning doesen't work.
Does anybode have an any ideas about this issue?

Here my Example_map:
Both maps compiled with the same option: Q3map2: (final) + ambient occlusion (Nexuiz 2.5 required)
without any curves:

same map with a cone:

Thank You for answers.

No, the light compile shouldn't be totally failing.
I never use patchshadows but my maps light compile fine.
I use patches everywhere.

Perhaps do the meta, then the vis, and then the light compiles seperatly?

Possibly the map is leaked?
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Try making the map bigger. This simply could fix it. Iirc i've read something similar over at q3wforums some time ago.
bleach->aneurysm->straledm5->dieselpower->space-fun->o-fun->runningman->runningman1on1->aggressor(conversion)->soylent->bloodprison->bluesky->ruiner->reslimed->strength
