ctrl + TAB = switch 2d view?

Hi,

In gtkradiant Ctrl + TAB used to switch the axis of the 2D view and center the selected object in the view. It seems the first part isn't done anymore. This usability is pretty important when using the detached windows layout with a single ortographic window. It doesn't either work when trying to change the view axis from the menu (view->ortographic->next).

EDIT: I found out this feature was disabled at revision 90. I reverted in my local copy the changes added in that revision to the function "void XY_Next()" (kept the rest) and the ctrl + TAB functionallity is returned back. I do asume this change was somehow intended, but don't understand why.
