Working with Lights in Doom 3

Postby mrfiend » Tue Apr 20, 2010 6:20 am

Hello,
I have been using NetRadiant for a while now, but I just recently got into mapping for Doom3. I am having trouble with lights in Doom3; specifically, if I don't have a light entity in the map, then it will be pitch black. I can put in some brushes/curves/models with light shaders, but they only glow, no light emits from them. I tried to target the light to the brush/curve/model, but nothing happens. I've tried to find a function or something else that I could set a light to them, but I've not found anything.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

My issue isn't with adding more light to the existing game, but instead, working with them for my own maps.
