I have had only problems with the reinstall... Writing this from my pocket pc as my pc is installing debian... Least i got the 2.6.x kernel, but no etch. Etch didn't work, no packages were installed. same thing with testing version. I have planned to go etch after everything is installed as sarge, maybe it works. I really hope the mouse and keyboard problems will be fixed now. btw should we move this thread to General Discussion?

Personally I'd recommend Ubuntu as the "more user-friendly Debian". Works fine here.

Or for that matter Kubuntu or Xubuntu. They're basically all the same. Except for Edubuntu and Ubuntu Bible Basher Edition. There are lots of Linux distributions, most of them could be made to be exactly like another if you tried hard enough, but some of them are easy to use straight after installation, not something Debian is renowned for. Anyway, enough of distro talk, let's get FrutieX's problems solved.

What problems were you having installing NVIDIA's drivers? Was it by the NVIDIA installer or by some Debian method? You do need the kernel sources installed for your kernel to do this as it compiles a module on installation.
Laters losers.

Hmm i'm not sure were to add this.. Together FruitieX and i found out the the X setting Emulate3Buttons can introduce lag for the mouse. Thats because that feature has a timeout, you have to press both button in a certain time so it counts as mouse button 3. But it also has to wait that long before reporting the buttons 1 and 2 as pressed by themselfs..
I'm sure windows does have such a feature too. It should be disabled in both OSes just to make sure you have a good gaming experiance..
