The only way i know is cvarlist that will just list all the variables there are and their values.. (and explainations for some of them and default values)
If you have log_file set the console output will also be copied into that file. Guess thats as close to what you want as possible..

There is also the command saveconfig but it will only save the config.cfg guess that is not quite what you want.

Esteel, I used the code from this post, http://forums.alientrap.local/viewtopic.php?p=90#90, I think you called it 'n lo.cfg', and the code at the bottom 'n xx.cfg', and it works great for me, except:

With the rl the rockets are now yellow balls of light and they sort of interfere with my vision cuz they're so bright, is there a way to tone them down a little?

The quad damage, when someone else picks it up they are a blue ball of light, when I pick it up my whole screen turns opaque blue, and obscures my vision

Otherwise its great. It's just what I needed with my archaic graphics card, which is a radeon 9200 btw

try
Code: Select all
gl_flashblend 0

gl_flashblend is faster than normal lightning, but it's so ugly, that it's not really worth the speedup imho ;)

Thanks a lot kadaver. Flashblend did it. I didn't really notice any speed difference either, but I haven't played on a full server with it yet.

gl_flashblend will not make any real difference now at all. It was one of the settings that might have made some difference with glquake back on a Voodoo 1 but nowadays, even on the crappiest system anyone would run Nexuiz on, it'll make no difference.

Many years ago I did some benckmarks on glquake with flashblend on and off on a P166MMX with a Geforce 2 MX 200 and saw no statistically discernible difference in the figures.

Hmm yeah i also learn some new stuff from time to time.. gl_flashblend 1 is faster then doing real light so it can be used in a 'low settings but still nice-eyecandy' config. But my n_lo.cfg is what i use for playing and gl_flashblend can be iritating so it should be off. Its true that it does not really matter when it comes to fps on todays machines. Guess i should update that old post.
