For me too - I'd rather think it could be an X.org problem of the specific version you have.

First, try setting "gl_finish 1".

If that doesn't help, try to really force it to one specific CPU: "taskset -c 0 ./nexuiz-linux-glx.sh".

IF that helps, try disabling your power management for the CPU ("cpufreq") and try again.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Just using nexuiz-sdl without the taskset part solved it for me as well. ;)

I have similar mouse problem. When I move my HP-mouse up/down, nothing happens. Right/Left works well and Nexuiz does not lag. It's somehow like a cs aimbot :D But it sucks a bit.

How can I fix that?

OS: Ubuntu Edgy x86_64, NVidia GeForce 6600, happens with sdl and glx

greetings

edit:
m_pitch said m_pitch IS 0.022 (but "off", whyever)
after
m_pitch 0.022
everything worked well. But that's a silly bug :( I use the newest version

I kinda doubt you use the latest version.. OLD versions had a bug that when you pressed the 'reset' buttons in the menu they did not set m_yaw back to the correct 0.022 but to off. That bug was fixed quite some time ago. Either you messed up when patching it or you still have some old files that interfere in a bad way. Hard to say without being able to look at your computer and i can't find my crystal ball right now :)

The first time nexuiz was installed, the version was from the ubuntu repo.
Then I downloaded alientrap.org (yesterday) and that bug appeared. But of course you might be right, because this old version of nexuiz was installed.
Where does nexuiz save its configuration?

In ~/.nexuiz/data the main config file is named config.cfg

hi, i recently got the glx version working under ubuntu, but now i'm having the jumping mouse problem.

unfortunately, gl_finish 1 only moved the places where the jumps took place, and the taskset -c 0 (or 1) didn't help at all. i also tried setting my cpu governor to "performance", resulting in no change.

i'll try some of the dga stuff but i'm not expecting much.

PS great game! keep up the good work :)
