2.3 slower?

It might just be me, but I seem to be lagging a lot more since 2.3 even though I didn't change any settings...?

Did you try the stuff we mentioned in the Changelog?
Deactivate the vertex buffers or opengl 2.0 shaders?

What graphic card do you have?

Ive noticed much higher pings in every server now that 2.3 is out... why is this? more data servers must share or what?

No, its even less data, but the internal timing for the ping has changed.. so unless you notice a bad difference in behaviour while playing i'd say just do not worry and have fun, its just the display that changed.
However.. how much is much higher in your case? And do you notice anything bad while playing?

Well, I noticed something bad when playing, although I haven't tried out too many servers yet. On tChr's 1on1 server (where my ping went up and down from 30 to 80, same as the one of my opponent) I generally had quite big aiming problems and, mainly while dogfights the movement of my opponent looked extremely choppy, like too few fps.

This is quite different to older versions where this choppiness was more with your own movement.

Yes. This is a problem for me too. Actually now i have much better movement myself, but its much harder to see where the opponent ends up, is this to do with the changed prediction handling?

the choppy movement seems to be a weakness of nexuiz in general. I don't feel it is choppy from my first person view, but when you see other player models moving and sometimes projectiles as well, their movement is choppy, even if fps is very high. it is more pronounced in firefights or with a lot of action but please don't try to say it's just me. happens on all computers I have tried nexuiz on, and on every version of nexuiz as well. 2.3 has reduced it quite a bit but you can still notice it easily.

This build isn't the game i love, its laggy, and i have a 25-40 ping, I'm running dual 7600GT's on a AMD 4400, the game played flawlessly on the old build.. I still get over 230 FPS but the game isn't the same, its just plain laggy, perhaps its PL..
It isn't just me, its many that i play with regularly, they all have the same issues with the new build.

Whoever runs the standard Nex server in NY PLEASE go back to the old version, perhaps its server side, if not..im giving up on the game i have come to love..
the last build was the most stable and fastest..
