2.3 bugs

I have noticed in 2.3, the bots are very very stupid. Also, in the map bleach, that jump pad that is in front of the hallway that leads straight to the rocket launcher you can still get stuck and bumped back down at the top. Also I saw somebody standing still at that spawn place where you used to get stuck, although it was a bot, so not sure if they were stuck or the bot was just being unusually stupid.

Bots still can't play on maps there is no .waypoint file for, so bots standing without moving are usually caused by a non-waypointed map.

And yes, the bots are stupid - they're more intelligent than 2.2.3's bots, but still - they're bots.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

what ever happened to that guy who wanted to do AI stuff/improve the bots?

also I find on runningman the bots tend to stay on that one jump pad near the machine gun untill you shoot at them...

That guy DID change the bots, but all he wanted to do (and did) was to make the bots aim more human like.. try to spec them :P
But the bots also got some minor improvements.. nothing ground breaking though.

Anyway thanks for the guys improving the bots.

I am still a big fan of "offline-playing". So I am happy about every improvement.

Bots can't handle air control, so they don't know how to use certain jumppads, where the player needs to control his flight...

WHat about still getting bumped back down on the jump pad in bleach, and possibly getting stuck at that spawn? I am positive getting bumped back down still happens because I can do it over and over, and I am not sure if you still get stuck at that spawn spot but I did see a bot just standing at it.

The spawnpoints are all ok, but somehow the bots seem to have trouble finding the next waypoint. I added a few more waypoints, that'll hopefully fix the problem.

Yes thats still possible but i see now way to fix this.. just do not use air control :P

Couldn't the collision code be fixed again, or the bsp where you get stuck be fixed up or something? Or even place some kind of inviable volume over it? Surely there must be a way to fix it...
