Problem with glibc 2.3.6

Postby DrDoom » Tue Mar 21, 2006 2:04 pm

After upgrading my glibc to 2.3.6 I noticed a problem when quitting Nexuiz:
Sometimes my screen resolution does not get restored and I cant move my mouse. I get the following error message:
Code: Select all
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x0b8d89c0 ***

Is the complete source for Nexuiz available somewhere, or is it that whats included in the release package?

The sources for the engine and the game code itself are in the package it self. The uptodate code that is worked on can be found online till a new release is made. Its explained in this post (by divVerent) http://www.forums.alientrap.local/viewtopic.php?p=353#353
I'm not yet using linux to play Nexuiz. Maybe some of the others have an idea regarding the problem..

Compiling the glx version myself did help. It does now behave like it should. Thanks for Your help.

Well if its an incompatibility with glibc maybe recompiling the -sdl version should also help. In general the -sdl version should be more compatible with hardware and at least on windows dead-keys only work with the -sdl version.
