Is it possible to have 8-bit colors in Nexuiz???

What resolution is that? Btw, would be quite useful for us to have some information about the OS and the graphics adapter you are using...

Hey! That's a picture of Slime Pit. That map is not in 2.3. Maybe you installed 2.3 over 2.2.3? That is not recommended if I recall correctly.

How can you play a map that is not in 2.3? I'm sure there is an explanation..

Hm, fglrx? How did you install the driver? Manually or through ubuntu's software repository?
If you installed it manually, parts of the driver might have been overwritten by a software update. Try reinstalling the driver and see if that helps...

@mofar: slimepit.bsp is still in 2.3, it's just not in the menu. So some 2.3 servers might still run slimepit...

in ubuntu feisty to manually upgrade you need to:
go to /usr/share/games/nexuiz, delete anything in that dir and drag over the 'pro' and 'data' folders
go to /usr/lib/games/nexuiz, rename nexuiz-linux-[arch]-glx to nexuiz.bin, then overwrite the current binaries in/usr/lib/games/nexuiz
if you have the nexuiz-server package installed then you go to /usr/lib/games/nexuiz, rename nexuiz-linux-[arch]-dedicated to nexuiz-server.bin, then overwrite the current binaries in/usr/lib/games/nexuiz

also make sure your ~/.nexuiz/data folder doesn't contain an old data20070531.pk3 file.

@Psychiccyberfreak: The game itself wasn't installed through ubuntu's software repository, but rather downloaded manually. so the upgrade instructions don't seem relevant.
