Apparently, Nexuiz and your router are not compatible. Try working around it like this:
- On the router, set up a port forwarding from port 26666 to your computer's IP, port 26666
- On your computer, go into the directory "data" in the Nexuiz folder. In there, make a new file called "autoexec.cfg" (enable viewing of file extensions in explorer to do that). In that file, you write: "cl_port 26666".
You can do the latter e.g. the following way:
- Open command prompt from start menu
- type "echo cl_port 26666 > "
- drag the Nexuiz data folder into the command prompt window
- remove the space at the end of the line and the quotation mark; then add: \autoexec.cfg and a quotation mark
- The line should then look like: C:\>echo cl_port 26666 > "c:\documents and settings\testuser\desktop\nexuiz\data\autoexec.cfg"
- Press Return
The file is there then.
When you have done that, try again.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again
You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
