Postby og_carbon » Sat Apr 01, 2006 8:03 am

alright a quick question... i'm working on a map right now, and whenever I take ingame screenshots of it, they turn out so bright i need sunglasses to look at them once i check them over.

is there a work-around for this?

If you're in Windows , press print screen , then alt tab back to windows
load pbrush (paint brush) paste , then do color adjust if its too bright
in that aswell

You want to adjust the variable scr_screenshot_gamma. Think the default is 2 or 2.2..

Iirc LordHavoc said scr_screenshot_gamma is that high, because it's needed for video capture. I like to set it to 1 and adjust the gamma afterwards with gimp...

Perhaps we should lower the default to 1.5 or so, since most ppl here are using only regular screenshots and don't capture videos...

I agree with kadaver. Most people create screenshots far more often than videos, and besides the gamma is too high for video as well :D
