Nexius starts hardly bad

Postby /me noob » Tue Oct 30, 2007 8:11 am

Hi,

ich have bought my new Notebook, but as i see Nexuiz do not really work.

When i start the Game, the sound starts very bumpy. Then my mouse works like with 2 Frames per second.

I don't know, but i can't play with 5fps or something.

My Notebook is pretty good and works with Vista.
Details:

Core 2 Duo T7250 2x 2.00GHz
2048MB (2x 1024MB)
NVidia GeForce 8400M GT 256MB max.1024MB shared memory
Windows Vista Home Premium

I think i have all updates i can have, soooo do you know any way to improve it?

EDIT: I think that i have the newest drivers! I even think i know it ;)

I have heard about your problem. It has something to do with vista. It doesn't have what nexuiz needs to play... I something like that :?

Install the proper graphics drivers from NVIDIA. Vista's included drivers are broken.

Nvidia uses a pretty unified driver. Try this.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_163.69.html
cat /dev/urandom > /dev/mem

Just select any geforce 8 card, there's only one driver anyway...
However for some stupid reason the official nvidia driver doesn't support many mobile gpus, so if that doesn't work for you try http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/ind ... opic=15049 or http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/ind ... opic=15050 (depending on whether you have a 32 or 64bit version of vista)

Nothing to ouch about. This card should have enough power to get along with Nexuiz pretty well.

Could you maybe tell us the exact Model number of your Sony laptop?
