Config File

Postby Dahveed » Sun Dec 02, 2007 11:01 am

Howdy. I've been wanting to tweak my settings for faster FPS (a'la http://www.forums.alientrap.local/viewtopic.php?t=1628 ) but I can't find my config file.

I look everywhere in my Nexuiz folder, especially the data folder, and I can't find it. Perhaps I deleted it? My game settings *are* being saved (e.g. editing sensitivity in console retains setting next time I start the game), so I'm befuddled as to where they're being saved.

I'm running Linux.

it's in ~/.nexuiz/data/
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

yeah, i downloaded the package again and looked, that is where it is...somehow though, I've deleted it.

I tried just making a new text file and calling it config.cfg, but none of the settings were recognized.

i don't want to copy the default config file to my installation folder because that would override my settings, wouldn't it?

kind of odd, nexuiz is saving my settings fine, but without any visible config file.
