SVN/OSX - No Weapon/Pickup Sounds

I got the latest SVN today and there's this strange thing, that I can't hear no weapon firing or item pickups. Hitsounds are there, gibs also. My sound settings are on max.
Replacing the new sound folder didn't help either. I tried both apps. Same problem.

I'm using the new iMac. Seems like it's integrated audio in there.

no idea, but perhaps the Ogg Vorbis libraries aren't getting loaded.

I tried to playback the new ogg-sounds in VLC, and even the player has probs with playback, while the old oggs work constantly. What the?

The grenade_bounces don't play back at all.
rocket_det.ogg, tink1.ogg & uzi_fire.ogg also.

misc
spawn.ogg, talk.ogg and all hitground sounds don't play back.

ctf
respawn.wav maybe? Or maybe the sound is just too short.

But even if I can play the remaining sounds in VLC, there's actually no weapon firing ingame.
In the working samples there seems to be a part cut off at the beginning & end of the sound when playing in VLC. Actually this could be the player itself...
