for incoming packets, in the console (shift+esc) :
rate 10000

I don't remember what are the defaults values, maybe 10000 in 2.3 and 20000 in 2.4

pakects did the job:) However i have one more problem to report(i will write here i dont want to start new thread) Since i have dual core, there is problem with ocasional minor stuttering one every second. It starts as soon as i start to play. In spectator mode the stuttering is gone. It is not video settings related since i tried it on lower resolution(and stuttering was there also)

Any thoughts?

No, but try going into task manager after starting the game, and setting it to run on one CPU core only.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

i'm also having horrible lag, i'm using nexuiz 2.4, i have the client-side movement prediction disabled, and i changed the rate to 20000, when i do a ping (on linux) to server Galt's Gulch - CTF - 2.4 - TX, USA (for example) i get no packet loss and 62 - 63 ms times

Code: Select all
PING 75.126.234.42 (75.126.234.42) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 75.126.234.42: icmp_seq=1 ttl=48 time=62.3 ms
64 bytes from 75.126.234.42: icmp_seq=2 ttl=48 time=63.6 ms

but in nexuiz pings go from 120 to 1200 or even more (and i used to like galt's gulch severs because they where fast...)

any ideas?

nevermind, lag is no longer there...

Well thats good.. but do you have any idea WHY you had that lag? Maybe it was just a problem at your isp?
