I guess we're having a Laptop there? Well, iirc the Radeon 9000IGP adapter doesn't use separate memory but "shared" memory (means it uses the main RAM of the computer). That makes it quite hard to get Nexuiz running on that machine. It indeed doesn't look like a driver problem, more a problem of too few RAM. You have to run Nexuiz at the lowest possible quality settings.
There could be a chance however if you try to enter the system setup (BIOS) and allign less memory to the IGP. 64MB should be enough. At least my Laptop with a 64MB Mobility Radeon 9000 (non-IGP) runs quite ok.
Try to kill all running processes you don't need in the task manager before starting Nexuiz.
