I have a job with a lot of downtime, so I downloaded Nexuiz because I figure that since it's based on a modded Quake 1 engine, it ought to work nicely on the crappy integrated graphics cards if I turn off a bunch of the fancy extras. And sure enough, it does (I'm getting around 50-60 FPS on the crappy old i865 integrated chip on a crappy old P4)
Still, there is one HUGE problem: especially after map changes, the game is prone to developing some odd thing where it the games and the console are flickering back and forth quickly and the whole thing becomes ugly and unplayable. I actually went back and tried "vanilla" GLquake and it has the same problem (but even worse, it starts right up with that problem from the beginning)
This is CLEARLY a longstanding incompatibility between GLQuake and the Intel Extreme Graphics 2 chipset, but it would be nice if Nexuiz could fix it...
