FUZZY FULLSCREEN

hello!
i am running nexuiz 2.4 from ubuntu repo on ubuntu hardy 64bit.
nvidia 8400gs.

after installation it played very nice.
in the night, after new start pc, nexuiz would not be able to enter fullscreen-mode.
it switches between fullscreen mode and windowed mode without stopping.

i tried $ nexuiz +set vid_fullscreen 1
no avail.

i than logged out from gnome-desktop into fluxbox and there it went supi-dupi.
what is this? what should i do?

(bevor this i had the nexiuiz-package from alientrap, but then i had very other weird bugs...)

Hi.

I'm running on debian 64bit and do not have any problems like this..I however have had some problems with gnome-screensaver which grabbed my keys every X minutes which made me stop dead until i released and repressed the keys.
Maybe some program wants to open a popup which cases Nexuiz to go from fullscreen back to window mode?

there is something doing that indeed, but i do ot know yet which program to blame..

Well i doubt you can blame Nexuiz, i think its X that makes it go back to window mode.. but i'm not sure. Maybe you can tell use which program is causing the problems? I guess some IM program?

late answer, as i was not playing nexuiz the last week,
i installed xubuntu in the meantime and the beta-driver of nvidia and tryed nexuiz from xubuntu but sae thing as with gnome.
i than assumed that this should be a compiz issue,
so i did in terminal:
$ killall compiz.real
and voila, nexuiz starts nice and runs nice.
